}Generate or regenerate the printed check PDF
Generates the check PDF via the canonical utils/pdfkit/ primitives
(Rule 19). Returns either a presigned S3 URL or raw PDF bytes
depending on the format query parameter. Requires the
purchasing:write scope.
Two things must both be true, and the second was added on
2026-09-20. The API key needs the purchasing:write scope, AND
the user the key acts on behalf of (its created_by_user_id)
needs the accounting.post permission on the entity. What this
endpoint returns is the check itself: the payee, the amount in
words, the bank account name, the routing number, the account
number and the MICR line, laid out on check stock. Every other
act on a printed check already took accounting.post (set its
drawee, change its format, clear it, void it), and so does the
sibling print door for outbound bank checks. Rendering one now
takes it too. A key whose user lacks it receives 403 permission_denied naming accounting.post.

API key issued per entity via Settings > Developers > API Keys.
Each key carries scopes (e.g. orders:read, products:write).
Bearer token format: Authorization: Bearer ark_live_ent_
Test keys use ark_test_ent_. Both are issued per entity
